The Brocklehurst family have supplied north London with furniture and flooring since 1932. The store was founded by the current owners grandfather and traded continuously - even supplying blackout cloth and bomb damaged furniture during the Second World War.

During the sixties and seventies the shop became a Mecca for modern Scandinavian and British design. In 2001 a second store was opened in Belsize Park and in 2007 the company relaunched as Brocklehurst Flooring Company trading from a new purpose designed showroom in Muswell Hill and high street shop in Belsize  Park.
